Alternative rock #2

This is second part of alternative rock! This time I like to talk about band called Nirvana. They are from Seattle where many grunge bands are from. For example, Alice in the Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Nirvana are known as big 4 grunge bands in Seattle. This song “All Apologies” is from album called In Utero in 1993. Once again just like previous post, this song plays pretty much same chords in bass. I like Kurt Cobain’s vocal ability, the way he could sing lower tone then dramatically high pitch tone with his raspy voice. I have always been a huge fan of Nirvana and one of reasons is that I like how Kurt Cobain sings his heart out everytime. To me that is most important because it shows how hard musicians try to deliver their music and their efforts to their fans. I also like how drum beats and guitar set in whenever Kurt Cobain sings high tone. As a result, it makes song more dynamic. I like background vocal joins in and create echo sounding effects. “Heart Shaped Box” is another song by Nirvana in the album called In Utero. It starts out quite but gradually guitar riffs, hard hitting drum beats, and harmonic bass become one and makes energetic sounds on each chorus stanza. At the same time, I like how Kurt Cobain sings “Hey…Wait.” Very simple words but it has so much power behind it, and is very catchy line. At the end of the song, explosive drum beats reaches its highest pitch of the song then after that I like when Kurt Cobain sings “good byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,” and how guitar riffs make sound “Eeeeeeee” to end the song. SIMPLY BRILLIANT!
